MORE THAN AN ISTITUTIONAL ACTION

On September 16, 2022, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Metropolitan Cities of Reggio Calabria and Messina, the Order of the Architects of Reggio Calabria, and 500×100, aimed at the creation of the Biennale dello Stretto. The agreement was signed with the Mayor of the Metropolitan City of Reggio Calabria, Carmelo Versace, the Mayor of the Metropolitan City of Messina, Federico Basile, the President of the Order of Architects of the Metropolitan City of Reggio Calabria, Ilario Tassone, and the President of 500×100, Alfonso Femia, who is the project’s creator.

The signing of the memorandum of understanding is far more than an institutional act; it represents the sign of an enlightened vision toward cohesion and mutual opportunities among the three Mediterranean shores, through architecture, art, and culture.
