PROJECTS AROUND THE MEDITERRANEAN
In the context of the Biennale dello Stretto which will be taking place between Reggio Calabria and Messina from September 30 to October 4, we challenge young designers to imagine a project on the proposed theme.
Participants are asked to identify a keyword and develop a project around it through the use of drawings, photographs, conceptual and visual models.
Example:
Floodplain: area of land adjacent to a river which stretches from the banks of its channel to the base of the enclosing valley walls, and which experiences flooding during periods of high flow;
Meander: one of a series of regular sinuous curves in the channel of a river or other watercourse. The term derives from the winding river Menderes located in Asia Minor.
The finalists will participate in a panel with international architects and urban planners during the event.
The Biennale dello Stretto is promoted by 500×100 – permanent research laboratory – and the Order of Architects of Reggio Calabria.
