PROGETTI INTORNO AL MEDITERRANEO
Ai partecipanti il compito di individuare una parola che sia chiave di sviluppo progettuale associando disegni, fotografie, modelli concettuali.
Esempio:
Golena: terreno pianeggiante fra il letto di magra del corso d’acqua e il suo argine. Mantiene lento il corso dell’acqua e dà la possibilità a una piena di espandersi in larghezza; Meandro: ansa di un fiume; intrico tortuoso.
Dal nome del fiume turco Meandro; Cuora: prato acquitrinoso che arriva a galleggiare sull’acqua.
I finalisti selezionati parteciperanno al talk con architetti e urbanisti internazionali.
La Biennale dello Stretto è promossa da 500×100 laboratorio di ricerca permanente e dall’Ordine degli Architetti di Reggio Calabria.

PROJECTS AROUND THE MEDITERRANEAN
In the context of La Biennale dello Stretto which will be taking place between Reggio Calabria and Messina from September 30th to October 4th, we challenge young designers to imagine a project on the proposed theme.
Participants are asked to identify a keyword and develop a project around it through the use of drawings, photographs, conceptual and visual models.
Example:
Floodplain: area of land adjacent to a river which stretches from the banks of its channel to the base of the enclosing valley walls, and which experiences flooding during periods of high flow; Meander: one of a series of regular sinuous curves in the channel of a river or other watercourse. The term derives from the winding river Menderes located in Asia-Minor.
The finalists will participate in a panel with international architects and urban planners during the event.
